Working in Exeter -salaries realistic?

I work in logistics and Crime rate is something to consider -Exeter sits at 246.3 per 100K. The median home value here is around $273,500, which seems about average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Raleigh about 3 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
