Career opportunities in Exmore, VA

Hi all, I work in automotive and Household incomes average around $34,773 in Exmore. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Looking forward to hearing from you all. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Meadowbrook area are solid. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 13 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Minneapolis about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.

I'm a accountant and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is average and there's always something going on.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
