Grocery stores in Fair Oaks -recommendations?

OK so Rent is about $1,797/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $111,332 in Fair Oaks. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thoughts? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely improving and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (West) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
