Fairfax vs Miami -which is better?

Been meaning to ask this. Crime rate is something to consider -Fairfax sits at 118.9 per 100K. Rent is about $2,281/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $1,121,500 on average. It's a a small town city with about 7,523 people. Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Easy commute
- Active local events

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Limited nightlife
- Not very walkable
- Limited dining options
- Homelessness issues downtown
The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if traffic matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
