Things Fairfax Station needs to improve
Hey, Born and raised here. Rent is about $2,737/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $863,400 on average. Median household income is $212,128, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
Pros:

- Walkable downtown
- Active local events
- Good airport connections

- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Poor road conditions
- Mosquitoes and humidity
