Just moved to Fairfield, any tips?

Military spouse here. With a population of 120K, Fairfield is a mid-size city. Homes are going for about $592,500 on average. Household incomes average around $102,321 in Fairfield. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Let me know your thoughts. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
