Starting a business in Fairfield?

First post here. I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $102,321 in Fairfield. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Pittsburgh it's underrated.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely improving and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (The Heights) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 4 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
