Things that make Fairfield unique

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've been here for 9 years and With a population of 120K, Fairfield is a mid-size city. Household incomes average around $102,321 in Fairfield. Homes are going for about $592,500 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Good job market
- Diverse community
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Homelessness issues downtown
People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.
