The good and bad of living in Fairview Park

Been meaning to ask this. We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. Would love some local perspective. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..
