What Fairview Park does better than anywhere else

Median household income is $77,688, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Fairview Park sits at 43.2 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $962/month for a decent place. With a population of 17,049, Fairview Park is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Pros:
- Close to nature
- Low taxes
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Lack of diversity
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Not enough green space
What neighborhoods would you suggest? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Moved here from LA about 8 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to job market but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Old Town for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- The nightlife scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

I'm a accountant and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is hit or miss and there's always something going on.
