Rent vs buy in Fairwood CDP (King County) -what makes sense?

First post here. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Thanks! The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 13 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
