Is public transit usable in Fajardo zona urbana?

It's a a smaller city city with about 25,524 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Appreciate any input.

I've lived in Old Town for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The nightlife scene is tough

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in East area are average. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in construction. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2023 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 9 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Sunset) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
