So, Homes are going for about $357,800 on average. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $1,086 for rent here. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for Fall River? Thanks! Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Nashville it's surprisingly good.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The cultural scene is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in East for 13 years. Moved from Boston for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. East schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Summers can be brutally hot. Urban sprawl is real. And housing market can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 5/10. Feel free to reach out with questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- The school system scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
