Fallbrook vs Minneapolis -which is better?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a teacher here and Median household income is $87,293, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $713,000 on average. Rent is about $1,675/month for a decent place. Household incomes average around $87,293 in Fallbrook. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Growing food scene
- Low taxes
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Hot summers
- Far from major airports
- Homelessness issues downtown
What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 1 years. Moved from Phoenix for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2023 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Limited public transit options. And traffic can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 5/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
