I'm a teacher here and It's a a small town city with about 1,891 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 14 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
