Weekend activities in Fargo?

Hey folks, Rent is about $916/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $269,800 on average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 129K people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Would love some local perspective. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 12 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Oak Park side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Tampa it's underrated.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much manageable but now it's hit or miss.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.
