Moving to Farmers Branch for work -advice?

Born and raised here. Median household income is $87,702, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cost of living, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
