How is Farmington Hills for outdoor activities?

Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and With a population of 83,316, Farmington Hills is a smaller city. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in government. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.
