Hey everyone, I'm originally from Kansas City and Rent is about $1,475/month for a decent place. Median household income is $101,863, which feels pretty solid for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to.
