Rent in Farmington Hills getting crazy

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 16 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Farmington Hills sits at 107.1 per 100K. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What would you do? Any help is appreciated.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much pricey but now it's improving.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
