Hi all, Just moved here 2 months ago and The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 1.5%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The walkability is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Old Town for 13 years. Moved from San Diego for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Old Town schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Road conditions need improvement. And public transit can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
