Commute times in Farmington -how bad?

I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $63,745 in Farmington. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any advice would be great. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely decent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in Meadowbrook area are challenging. Kids love it here.
