Is Farmington a good place to live?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. Median household income is $120,432, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Farmington sits at 74.8 per 100K. With a population of 24,934, Farmington is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 24,934 people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Diverse community
- Good healthcare facilities

Cons:
- Hot summers
- High property taxes
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Homelessness issues downtown
Would love some local perspective. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
