Unpopular opinion about Farmingville

First post here. I relocated for work and Median household income is $129,920, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 16,605 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Thanks in advance! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'm a accountant and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is improving and there's always something going on.

I'm a writer and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Hope this helps!.
