Farmland in the winter -how bad?

I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $826/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $826 for rent here. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Does this match your experience? Thanks! The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Charlotte about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 15 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is average.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Sunset area are average. Kids love it here.
