Affordable areas near Fayetteville?

My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Fayetteville sits at 164.4 per 100K. Homes are going for about $331,700 on average. Household incomes average around $82,144 in Fayetteville. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Should I be concerned? Cheers. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The West side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
