Is Fayetteville worth moving to in 2026?

Hey folks, Poverty rate is 14.0%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What are your go-to spots? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a chef and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.

Moved here from Atlanta about 10 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to safety but Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Lakewood for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The weather scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

I work in manufacturing here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is better than expected. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is solid here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.
