Working remotely from Federal Way — my experience

I've been working remotely from Federal Way for 8 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: pretty reasonable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Federal Way is worth considering.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

Don't sleep on Pine Grove. It's up and coming and still affordable.

If you can afford it, University District is the best place to live. Period.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. University District and Highland Park are perfectly safe.

Coming from Philadelphia, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.
