How is the nightlife in Ferguson?

Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much growing but now it's decent.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 32, moved here 8 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Westside and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Decent public transit for the size
3. Four distinct seasons
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited high-paying job options
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The public transit situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for couples. tough vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The healthcare is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
