Longtime lurker here, I'm a 45-year-old accountant and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 19,156 people. Homes are going for about $233,600 on average. Household incomes average around $91,732 in Ferndale. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
