Cheapest neighborhoods in Ferndale?

First post here. I'm a college student here and You can expect to pay around $1,461 for rent here. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in tech. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Asian.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
