Best hidden gems in Ferrum

Crime rate is something to consider -Ferrum sits at 268.8 per 100K. Rent is about $662/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Would love some local perspective.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 7 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
