What I wish I knew before living in Ferry Pass

Hi all, Homes are going for about $243,600 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,467 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Has anyone dealt with this? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in North for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The safety scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
