Fillmore is underrated, change my mind

I'm originally from Dallas and Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,799/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
