Best coffee shops in Fisher?

It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? The weather takes some getting used to.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The safety scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely better than expected and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (North) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Road conditions need improvement.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 2 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 4 years. Moved from Chicago for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's not perfect but it works for me. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Can feel isolated. And school system can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 5/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Maple Ridge. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in construction. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
