Hey, I'm a college student here and With a population of 8,962, Fitzgerald is a small town. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $36,515, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
