OK so I grew up here but left for a while. You can expect to pay around $1,581 for rent here. With a population of 5,250, Flagler Beach is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
