What's it really like living in Flagstaff?

Hi all, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $503,400 on average. With a population of 76,333, Flagstaff is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $503,400, which is pretty steep. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up.
