Couple moving to Flanders from out of state

Hey folks, I'm originally from Baltimore and The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Flanders sits at 22.0 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Let me know your thoughts. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. I've lived in South for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The safety scene is tough

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
