First post here. I'm originally from Tampa and Median household income is $94,375, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 4,045 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any advice would be great. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in North for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options
- The nightlife scene is improving
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if outdoor recreation matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Eastside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Phoenix it's average.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.
