Best kept secrets of Flint, MI

Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 80,835, Flint is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
