So, Poverty rate is 13.4%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $784 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cost of living is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 6 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Riverside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The community vibe scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
