Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. Crime rate is something to consider -Florence sits at 167.4 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
