Florence vs Pittsburgh -which is better?

First post here. I'm a 33-year-old lawyer and Rent is about $1,199/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Florence sits at 167.4 per 100K. The median home value here is around $196,200, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
