Job market in Florence for tech?

I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $196,200 on average. Household incomes average around $68,508 in Florence. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Thanks in advance! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Pine Hills. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Portland it's improving.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much manageable but now it's improving.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
