Is Florida Ridge still affordable?

Random thought, My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $250,500 on average. Median household income is $64,956, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thoughts?

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The cost of living is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've lived in East for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Close to major attractions
- The job market scene is decent

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..
