Biggest downsides of living in Florin?

First post here. You can expect to pay around $1,503 for rent here. Rent is about $1,503/month for a decent place. With a population of 49,536, Florin is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here? Appreciate any input. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The job market scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..
