1. Which neighborhoods should I look at for a $1800-2700 budget?
2. How's the commute situation?
3. Is the crime rate accurate for day-to-day life?
4. Any hidden costs I should know about?

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Oakwood and Lakewood are perfectly safe.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Old Town. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
