Best areas to explore in Flowery Branch?

Longtime lurker here, Poverty rate is 5.1%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 1.2%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The cost of living scene is tough

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much affordable but now it's solid.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 15 years. Moved from Minneapolis for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor scene is decent - we have rivers within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not very walkable outside downtown. Bugs and humidity in summer. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 6/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
