Couple moving to Flowery Branch from out of state

Curious what people think. It's a a small town city with about 10,286 people. Median household income is $88,185, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
